What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a comprehensive health system that
originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Translated from Sanskrit, Ayurveda means the knowledge or science of life. This profound yet practical system deals with health in all of its aspects--physical, mental and spiritual. It recognizes that each person is unique in their constitutional makeup and in any imbalance that may be present. Ayurveda addresses the causes of disharmony in each individual and supports healing on all levels.
The goal of treatment is to restore the client's innate state
of balance. This can result in increased energy and enthusiasm for life, a significantly strengthened immune system, a greater sense of wellbeing and, perhaps most importantly, an increased awareness of one's own state
of balance on all levels.
